A crate can be many sizes and shapes
One of the great things about a custom dog crate is that it can be made to be any size or shape, and it can also be many heights. You can leave it open on the top, or you can have a top put over it to prevent some types of animals from still being able to get inside it. Also, if you choose to have a top put on it, you can choose to go with the same chain link the rest of it is made from, or you can have an actual roof put on it that will prevent rain and snow from going right into it.
A crate can have different surfaces
Since the crate may be the place your dog is let out to relieve themselves in, it can have a surface that makes it easy for you to keep it clean. Some people choose grass, some prefer dirt, and some choose to go with concrete. If you are having a very large dog crate installed, then you also have the option of offering your dog a variety of surfaces. So, they can have grass on one side and concrete on the other or any other combinations of surfaces.
A crate can have built-in features
The crate can be built with the features you want. One example may be having two of the sides having wood panels being attached to them which can help to block out the wind if you live in an area where it can get very windy. You can also have two doors installed if this would be preferred.
